Welcome to SouthernCaDoodles
We have Mini Labradoodle pups now!!!
They are apricot or cream or parti! They are all F1B's and allergy friendly!

Many new owners ask what they should buy for the new puppy. Here is a list of tried and true products we like. We have tried these products on our dogs over the years and they work the best. Here's a little secret: I always order on line because I can save more money that way. The stores have a lot of overhead so the products cost more. Just click the Foster and Smith link below to see how these products work.
- Food: We feed Nutro Natural Choice Chicken and Rice for puppies. (not Large Breed formula) . We will give you some samples when you pick up your puppy.
- We give out a catalog from Dr.'s Foster and Smith. Just click here to see all their products on line. I love this web site because it has mini videos to show how to use all the products. Things change so quickly and so many new products come out that it's hard to keep up. These videos show how to use all the new stuff and they are great. They also have many great articles on crate training, house breaking, chewing, giving med's when necessary, etc. We have given out this catalog for years and always recommend them. Click here to order your dog and puppy products.
- We also give Nu-Vet Vitamins to all our dogs. Click here to order your dog vitamins.
- Puppy Primer is a good book to have for training your puppy and interacting with your family (especially the kids). It has lots of good information and I agree with what they say. by Brenda K Scidmore (Author), Patricia McConnell
- Bowls for water and food that can be cleaned easily.
- Avoid beds, toys, pillows or anything with stuffing inside. They can chew holes into the bed or pillow and pull all the stuffing out. They can choke on this and also make a big mess for you to find! (SURPRISE MOM, LOOK WHAT I DID)
- As for raw hide, I have had many vets tell me that they have had to do so much surgery to get this out of the intestines. I just don't give any. They can chew on Nyla or Booda bones instead or the Everlasting Treat Ball. Check out the videos on these. The main issue with puppies is that they are teething and need to chew. Kong toys are also very good.
We will also go over all of this when you pick up your pup. If you think of any questions just jot them down and bring the list with you or e mail me. I try to stay up on all the new products.
I hope this helps to get you started on shopping for your new puppy!
Good Luck,
Sue
